The NFL season is in full swing and football fans across the country are gearing up for another exciting year of games. In Arizona, things have just gotten a little more interesting with the launch of BetMGM’s retail sportsbook at State Farm Stadium.
This is the first time that BetMGM opens a retail sportsbook at a football stadium in the Grand Canyon State, and it is sure to be a hit with fans!
BetMGM Retail Sportsbook in Arizona
BetMGM continues its expansion as it opens its two-story, 17,000-square-foot retail sportsbook at State Farm Stadium in Arizona after its launches Sportsbook at Nationals Park for DC. There are sports betting kiosks across the location, together with its 265sq.ft. video wall near trading windows.
Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO stated in a press release that the recently launched sportsbook is one of the most revolutionary initiatives for an NFL stadium and is part of their shared vision with the Arizona Cardinals to open new ways to entertain fans.
Michael Bidwill, the Cardinals owner, stated:
“We are proud and thrilled to be the NFL’s first team to offer its fans this type of unprecedented amenity and innovative experience. The BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium gives us a chance to engage current and potential fans on a year-round basis in a fun, entertaining, and responsible way.”
The first NFL match which will be covered by the sportsbook will be between Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
Other Retail Sportsbooks in Arizona
With the addition of the BetMGM sportsbook, Arizona now has a total of three retail sportsbooks present at professional sports venues. Caesars has a sportsbook in Chase Field while there is a FanDuel retail sportsbook located at the Footprint Center.
If tribal wagering facilities and off-track locations, There are a total of 25 retail sportsbooks in Arizona which include Unibet Sportsbook at Turf Paradise, TwinSpires Sportsbook at Mazatzal Hotel and Casino, and more.
This may still increase as Barstool is planning for a retail sportsbook at Phoenix Raceway while DraftKings may soon join the retail sports betting market with its TPC Scottsdale location.
